Ordinarily, at this time of year we would be sending out our Annual Appeal letters, respectfully requesting a tax-deductible gift to support our services through the 2020-2021 calendar year. But this is not an ordinary year, and Anam Cara is currently preparing to meet an unprecedented demand for our services – which we anticipate to increase beyond any other time in our 14 year history. Anam Cara exists to provide support for people with chronic and life-limiting illness, their carers and families, and to provide hospice pallative care services to the most vulnerable in our community at no cost.

In the wake of the current COVID-19 crisis, our service will be needed as never before as the medical emergency will be most prevalent with seniors and those living with a life-limiting illness – palliative care, hospice care, respite and support for carers and family, as well as home visitations will all be in unparalleled demand in the months ahead. We totally understand the pressure and financial stress some families are under in the current environment, and I do not ask you for your support lightly. Whatever you are able to give now will be of great value, and will enable Anam Cara to continue to offer support and care for those relying on our services.
